Town of Atkinson, NH REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Construction of Universally Accessible Trails - Atkinson Conservation

The Town of Atkinson is seeking proposals to construct approximately 1,050 linear feet of Universally Accessible trails and two gravel parking spaces in the Slade Town Forest, located off Route 121 in Atkinson. This work will be under the administration and control of the Atkinson Conservation Commission. The scope of work includes, put is not limited to, upgrading the current rough trails to a 6-foot wide, fully compliant hardpack surface suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. This will be the first construction phase of a larger, multi-phase project. Must have small equipment and the ability to work within a 7’ wide corridor without damaging the large trees that define this forest. The qualified contractor must meet the insurance requirements for the Town of Atkinson and submit proof of insurance for worker’s compensation and general liability coverage. The Town of Atkinson must also be listed as additionally insured.

All proposals must be received at the Selectmen’s Office, 19 Academy Avenue, Atkinson, NH 03811, in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Accessible Trails Construction,” no later than 12:00 Noon Thursday, August 3, 2023. Work to begin No Later Than August 21 and be completed NLT October 13. For additional information, and to arrange a review of the plans and a site visit, please contact the Town Administrator at 603-362-1064, Monday through Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and Friday between 8:00 AM and 12:00PM.
