On behalf of the officers and members of the Atkinson Fire Department we would like to thank you for your interest in our organization. As an active member of our Association, you will receive valuable skills along with the rewarding experience of serving your community.
Who are the members of the Atkinson Firefighters Association? We are neighbors, managers, small business owners, technical professionals, electricians, engineers, healthcare providers, etc - you name it!
We are always in need of more help, especially from residents interested in supporting a dedicated and hard working service for the town and its residents. Inexperienced but willing hands are needed and are necessary for our success. We have several needs to help support our Department listed below, if you think you can be a valuable in a capacity that is not listed below please inquire. The department will also help provide the skills needed for a successful member.
Qualification Requirements:
- Be a resident of Atkinson or live within 3 miles of the Atkinson Town Line
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Have a satisfactory driving record and a current state of NH drivers license
- Have a valid telephone number
- Be a high school graduate or have equivalent GED
Support Roles:
- Dispatching (Radio / Telephone Communications
- On Scene Firefighter Rehab / Support
- Vehicle, Building or Equipment Maintenance
- Firefighters Association Officers (to maintain “non profit” status), Donations, Fundraising, Community Events Coordination
- Public Education / Fire Prevention
