MPC Nov 2022 Recap

The Master Plan Committee met on November 17th at Town Hall.  The Master Plan Committee web page and your options to be notified of updates and your opportunities to submit comments were discussed.  Readers should visit the website at https://bit.ly/whatsnextatkinson  The committee knows that their most important job will garnering robust community involvement in the development of the plan. Toward that end, the first product of the committee will be a flyer that you will be seeing around town after the Holidays. 

 

The topics of Natural Resources and Natural Hazards created a lot of discussion.  The Committee was fortunate to have Paul Wainwright, Chair of the Conservation Commission and committee member Ken Grant share their immense knowledge on these topics. There is so much to learn. It wouldn’t be surprising if educating the community on these topics shows up in the Master Plan. You may want to get a headstart by watching the recording of this meeting.

 

The next meeting will be Thursday December 1 at 6:30 at Town Hall.  Community Involvement will again be on the agenda.
