How is a Master Plan update accomplished?

A comprehensive Master Plan update is accomplished by:

   -  Gathering feedback from Residents, Business Owners, Town Employees and Community Leaders

   -  Analyzing and updating the Atkinson's existing conditions and identifying significant changes

   -  Drafting an updated Master Plan document that will be reviewed and adopted by the Planning Board

 

The Planning Board has selected Resilience Planning & Design as a consultant for this project.

The Planning Board has also created the Master Plan Committee.  This is a subcommittee of the Planning Board made of Planning Board members and other residents.  The purpose of this committee is to be a working group that will meet monthly with the Consultants to coordinate and execute the tasks necessary to prepare the Master Plan update.
