Memorial Day Parade

The Memorial Day Parade line up starts at 9:45am & begins at 10:30am on Monday, May 29th at Atkinson Town Hall.

Parade route starts from Atkinson Town Hall, right on Academy Ave, left on Leroy, right on Main Street to the Dow Common for the ceremony.

Ceremony at Dow Common at approximately 11:00am.

• Essay read by an Atkinson Academy student "What Memorial Day Means to Me"

Before parade:

• Bike Decoration Contest for bikes, trikes, and doll carriage parade with a red, white, and blue theme  sponsored by the Atkinson Women's Civic Club.  Line up at 9:30am.  This event will be judged at the Town Hall front lawn area.

After ceremony:

• Annual cookout at the fire station for the Atkinson Firefighters Association. 
• Music performance by the Timberlane Community Music Association Band (weather permitting).
• Visit the Kimball House- home to the Atkinson Historical Society and tour the Military Room.
