Capital Improvement Program Committee

Mission Statement

The Atkinson Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Committee will prepare and amend a recommended program of Municipal Capital Improvement Projects Document that structures the program over a period of ten (10) years, in accordance with RSA 674:5. The Committee will closely follow the Town’s updated Master Plan while preparing the CIP, ultimately facilitating the implementation of the Master Plan.

The program, when adopted and fully utilized, serves to ensure that the services and facilities necessary to meet the community's needs and visions are provided in accordance with the financial capabilities of Atkinson. The CIP shall be to aid the Budget Committee in their consideration of the annual budget, and the Selectmen to schedule future capital expenditure necessities. In following the CIP, the Committee will advise the Governing Body of capital prioritizations yearly for budgetary purposes.
