Town Canoe/Kayak Launch

Location

For access to Big Island Pond, the town canoe/kayak launch is located on Stickney Road, as shown on the map below. The depth of the water is only a few feet, and access is down a set of steps, so this launch is limited to canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. 

This launch is for personal recreational use only, and commercial use is prohibited.

Two small parking lots are available on either site of the launch steps, with a combined capacity of approximately eight vehicles.  If the lots are full, we ask that you return at another time. This is a very crowded neighborhood, and we ask that you be respectful of our neighbors.

Note: Parking is provided only for the use of the launch, and overnight parking is not permitted in the parking lots.
