Budget Committee Meeting Minutes
April 10, 2007
Attending: Jim Blackadar – Chairman, Dave Paquette Vice Chairman, Paul Tracy, Mari Anne Princiotta, Fred Thompson and Fred Childs ex officio
Jim called the meeting to order at 7:37 PM. The first order of business was to elect a Chairman and Vice Chairman.
Fred T. nominated Jim as Chairman/Seconded by Paul/Unanimous.
Fred C. nominated Dave for Vice Chairman/Seconded by Paul/Unanimous.
The next order of business was for the board to address the vacancy due to Mrs. Morelli declining her nomination. Jim informed the Board that he’d attended the previous night’s Selectmen’s meeting and announced the vacancy. The Board determined that we’d accept letters of interest until the Friday before our next meeting. Jim stated he will prepare an announcement for ACTV and have it posted.
Next, the Board discussed goals for the coming season. The 3 initial goals discussed were to keep the meetings focused on the issues, increase the lines of communication with the Board of Selectmen, and to incorporate more graphics into the meetings for the viewers.
The Board nominated Fred Thompson as the liaison to the Communication Committee.
Dave pointed out that the account number suffixes for the cleaning contract in the different departments needs to corrected.
The Board decided to wait until we appoint a member before determining the department liaisons. The Board also determined that the names of the committee members should be listed on the Town’s web-site. The Board also discussed the possibilities of including an email address for residence to contact them through.
Fred T motioned to adjourn the meeting/Seconded by Dave/Unanimous. Jim adjourned the meeting at 8:27 PM.
