Budget Committee Meeting Minutes

January 17, 2006

Attending: Mark Acciard-Chairman, Fred Thompson – Vice Chairman, Dave Paquette, James Blackadar, Paul Tracy, and Marsha Bassi

 

Mark called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM. The first order of business was to review the revised Police Revolving Fund Warrant Article. Mark motioned to recommend the Police Revolving Fund Warrant Article as presented/Seconded by Dave/Motion passed 6-0.

The next order of business was to review the minutes from the January 10 & 12, 2006 meetings. Fred motioned to amend the January 10, 2006 minutes to include additional verbiage regarding the Warrant Articles/Seconded by Paul/Motion passed 5-1. Fred motioned to accept the minutes of the January 10, 2006 minutes as amended/Seconded by Dave/Motion passed 6-0.

Fred motioned to amend the January 12, 2006 minutes to change Hearing to Meeting/Seconded by Mark/Motion passed 6-0. Mark motioned to amend the January 12, 2006 minutes to remove the word public/Seconded by Fred/Motion passed 6-0. Mark motioned to amend the January 12, 2006 to include additional verbiage/Seconded by Fred/Motion passed 6-0. Marsha motioned to amend the January 12, 2006 to include additional verbiage/Seconded by Dave/Motion passed 6-0. Jim motioned to accept the January 12, 2006 minutes as amended/Seconded by Dave/Motion passed 6-0.

Mark motioned to rescind the committee’s recommendation on the Police Collective Bargaining Unit Warrant Article/Seconded by Dave/Motion fails 2-3 with one abstention.

Marsha motioned to adjourn the meeting/Seconded by Paul/Motion passed 6-0. Mark adjourned the meeting at 8:50 PM.
