Budget Committee Meeting Minutes

January 12, 2006

Attending: Mark Acciard-Chairman, Fred Thompson – Vice Chairman, Dave Paquette, James Blackadar, Paul Tracy, Marsha Bassi, and Jack Sapia.

 

Mark called the meeting to order at 7:43 PM. The purpose of the meeting was to vote on the remaining Warrant Articles. The committee was presented a revised Warrant Article for the Police Revolving Fund that had been voted on by the Selectmen earlier that day. Based on discussions between the Selectmen and the Budget Committee, it was determined that the Warrant Article needed to be edited and that both Boards would vote on the revised Warrant Article at the Selectman’s meeting January 17, 2006.

Next, the board reviewed the Collective Bargaining Agreement Warrant Article. Fred motioned to recommend the Warrant Article/Seconded by Jim/Motion passed 5-1 with one abstention. Mark left the meeting prior to the vote, he stated his disapproval of the discussion of this article after the public hearing. Marsha conditioned her vote on the legality of this article submision.

The Town Administrator informed the Board the Disposal Contract was higher than the amount budgeted for. Fred motioned to set the Disposal Contract; account # 43.241.390 at $540,793/Seconded by Jim/Motion passed 7-0.

Fred motioned to adjourn the meeting/Seconded by Paul/Motion passed 6-0. Fred adjourned the meeting at 8:50 PM.
